Celebrating Our Achievement on the SDM 100 Integrator List

We are thrilled to announce that Chimera Integrations has made a significant leap on the SDM 100 Integrator List, moving from 70th in 2023 to 55th this year—a remarkable 21.43% improvement! We've also climbed in project size ranking, now at 45th, reflecting an 18.18% positive change.

Here's a glimpse of what our President, Casey White, had to say about this success:

What do you attribute to Chimera's success in this positive change?

"We’ve grown a lot over the past year. We opened up 3 new offices in 2022, and those offices are all rapidly growing alongside HQs’ continued growth. We're getting our name out there, and we’re providing a superior service to what many organizations have become accustomed to. This is an industry that requires a significant level of trust, so we’ve taken painstaking measures to tell the community who Chimera is, and then we step up to prove it. We also have an unbelievable Sales and Marketing team. Word of mouth and referrals alone are not enough to establish this level of growth. The creativity and intelligence of this team is astounding."

How does Chimera plan to grow in the next five years? Any long-term company goals you'd like to share?

"Chimera plans to continue to grow organically in New York State within our current geographic footprint. We're also looking at opportunities to cover the rest of New York State with brick-and-mortar offices to provide faster service and support. This will come on an as-needed basis. We like to expand where we are needed, not where we feel we want to be. With so much growth happening in Upstate NY, and all the consolidation of competitors, those needs seem to change daily. We are also always looking at emerging technologies to further our high-end offerings. We will see significant growth in these new technologies over the next 5 years. Stay tuned. We have some incredible things in the hopper."

Reflecting back to 2017 when you first founded Chimera, did you expect this kind of growth? How does it compare to your initial thoughts when Chimera was born?

"When Chimera was born, I had no thoughts that we would be this size and this far-reaching. Honestly, I thought we would have five or ten employees total, and we would stay in Syracuse and just focus on Central New York. So we've grown more than 5x that expectation, and we've probably done it in half the time. Opportunities arise, and I have said “Yes” way more than “No” and that is a big factor in unexpected growth. I also would have never expected to continuously find so many A+ players to bolster this team. I know I am a broken record, but this is all because of them."

What is something you failed at this past year, and what did you learn from it to propel your success further?

"Where do I begin? Most of our success can only be attributed to a series of failures and most importantly - learning from said failures. We've failed about 10,000 times this year, so picking one failure to key in on is difficult. I think there's a lot of times we see emerging technology, and we jump in with both feet trying to add new services to our lineup. I have learned to go deeper into the vetting/testing phase before bringing a new technology to market. We have created a process, and will make sure to follow that when introducing new systems to our clients."

Is there anything else you would like to add?

"I started this company with me as the only employee, recognizing that it couldn't always just be me. So I had to build this organization one key member at a time. Most of those early additions to the team are still with us today. Those teammates have helped shape the growth and direction of this company since day one. This is really a company run by its people. It's not run by me necessarily. I'm out there helping steer the ship, but everybody else is really doing all the work, making all the decisions, and adding their creativity and skills."

We are incredibly proud of our team and the progress we’ve made together. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Here’s to continued growth and success!
